In very close proximity to Russell Falls and Mt Field National Park, Marriott’s Falls, Maydena Bike Park, Westerway Raspberry Farm, Possum Shed Café and further on to Lake Pedder and Gordon River Dam at Strathgordon.
TYENNA COTTAGE

Tyenna Cottage is a unique contemporary style boutique one bedroom fully self-contained riverfront cottage with quirky rustic features incorporated into a new build located on the banks of the Tyenna River.
A stunning private location with easy river access where you can fish for trout, watch the platypus foraging for food on the riverbed, grab a torch after dark to view the native wildlife feeding around the cottage or simply sit back and relax in this stunning location and listen to the ever-present sound of the water rushing over the river rocks.
Enjoy the wood-fired BBQ and fire pot at the hut which is just a few feet from the river and is abundant with native flora and fauna.
When your reservation is confirmed and prior to your arrival you will be advised of the code for the key box which is located near the entry door to your preferred cottage, you will need to take this code along with you to be able to gain access to your accommodation as there is no reception on site. Please note our cottages are strictly no pets and no gatherings and no smoking indoors. We supply limited condiments, coffee, teabags, sugar and long life milk. Telstra and Optus phone coverage is available in the area however there is no WIFI available at the cottages.
For self-caterers coming from the west coast, we recommend you purchase supplies from the IGA at Ouse or if coming from Hobart we recommend you stop off at the Woolworths supermarket in New Norfolk on your way through.
Westerway road house (10minutes from the cottages) offers takeaway food and a very limited supply of essential items and there is another takeaway/cafe at Maydena (also 10 minutes away).
The Possum Shed Café at Westerway and Waterfalls café at the visitor information Centre offer breakfast and lunches and great coffee as well.
The National Park hotel are also offering light meals. For evening meals “The Giants Table” in Maydena are open most evenings. It is always a good idea to phone ahead as opening times can vary.
